Dottie has two upcoming speaking opportunities.
On September 11, she will be the keynote speaker at the NAMI Anne Arundel County 2013 Fall Author’s Mental Health Lecture and Forum at the Woods Memorial Church in Severna Park, MD. This event is in honor of 2013 National Suicide Prevention Week.
On October 1, she will be the keynote speaker at the 3rd Annual Mental Health Symposium at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre in Ft Myers, FL. This event is presented by Hope Clubhouse of Southwest FL, Inc.

The reporter, Jennifer Hawes, featured Scotty’s story in her 6/2/13 editorial about the long waits in ER where the severely mentally ill stay longer waiting for a bed to become available in a mental health facility.
